AN ORDINANCE.
An ordinance amending and re-enacting section 545 of
Chapter 9 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, of '
1913, relating to appointment of deputies and assistants in the
office of the City Auditor.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:

SECTION 1. That Section 545 of Chapter 9 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1913, be and the same is hereby
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
E', Sec. 545. Appointments. Deputies. Assistants. The
Board of Commissioners shall appoint a competent person to the
position of deputy auditor, at a salary of eighteen hundred
(01,800.00) dollars per annum.
In the absence of, or during the disability of the city
auditorothe deputy auditor shall exercise all the functions
and powers of the city auditor. He shall five bond to the
city in the sum of five thousand ($5,000.00) dollars.
One chief accountant at a salary of fifteen hundred
(41.500.00) dollars per annum.
One warrant clerk at a sd.lary of thirteen. hundred and
fifty ($1,350400) dollars per annum.
Three clerks at a salary not to exceed twelve hundred
(01,200.00) dollars each per annum.
Said salaries are to be paid monthly, as are the salaries
of other city officers.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect on and after „4
publication, January 1, 1914.
