AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AND ESTABLISHING SALARY IN-
CREASES FOR APPOINTIVE OFFICERS OF SALT LAKE CITY.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. The salaries of appointive officers in the De-
partment of Public Affairs and Finance shall be not to exceed the
amounts as follows:
Per Annum.
(A) Chief Clerk $3,000.00
(B) Chief Clerk, Law Department 2,730.00
(C) LICENSE DEPARTMENT.
First Grade Inspectors (each) . . . 3,120.00
(D) CITY RECORDER'S OFFICE.
1. One Deputy City Recorder . . . . 3,300.00
2. Two Chief Clerks . . . . . . . 2,970.00
S3. Six Deputy City Recorders . . . 2,820.00
14. Two Deputy City Recorders . . . 2,700.00
(E) City Sexton . . . . 3,150.00
SEOTION 2. The salaries of appointive officers in the De-
partment of Parks end Public Property shall be not to exceed the
amounts as follows:
Per Annum.
(A) Custodian of Joint Building . .$2,730.00
SECTION 3. The salaries of appointive officers in the De-
partment of Public Safety shall be not to exceed the amounts as
follows:
(A) BOARD OF HEALTH.
Per Annum.

SECTION 5. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is nedessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
• of Salt hake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 6* This ordinance shall take e, f+ect upon its
first publication. ;
