AN• ORDINANCE.
• An ordinance amending Section 1228 of Ohapter 56 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to duties of
Supervisor of Streets and Irrigation.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 1224 of Chapter 56 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1913, be and the same is hereby
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

Sec. 1228. Duties. The supervisor of streets and irri-
gation shall enforce all ordinances of the city and all orders
of the board of commissioners relating to streets and sidewalks,
their use and occupation, irrigation within the limits of the
city, apportionment of irrigation water, ditches, bridges, flumes
wand aqueducts. He shall have charge of all public streets,
• avenues and alleys and the care and maintenance of the same. He •
' shar?ie.ve charge of all tools, appliances, implements and
equipments belonging to the city and used in the various depart-
ments of which he is head. He shall make full and complete re-
•
-ports in writing, monthly or as often as receired by the commis-
sioner of streets and cubic improvements or the board of commis-
si oners, of all work done and moneys bolle oted and expended in
the department of which he is head.
The board of commissioners may apoint the following
assistants, clerks and employees in the department of streets
and irrigation.
Such clerks and stenographers as may be deemed advisable
w r
for the proper conduct of the said. department, at such salaries
as the board shall determine.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect on and after
publication, January 1, 1914.
