AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 32-2-1 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to sexual intercourse for hire
and lewd acts.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Sec. 32-2-1 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake
City, Utah, 1965, relating to sexual intercourse for hire and lewd acts,
be, and the same hereby is, amended by adding three new paragraphs,
Nos. 9, 10 and 11, to said section to read as follows:
"(9) Any person who is guilty of a violation of the provisions
of paragraph one (1) of this section shall be committed to the
city jail for a period of not less than thirty (30) days nor for
more than six (6) months.
"(10) Any person who is guilty of a violation of the pro-
visions of either paragraph two (2) or paragraph seven (7), or
both such paragraphs, shall be committed to the city jail for
a period of not less than sixty (60) days nor for more than
six ,(.6) months.
"(11) The penalty for violating the provisions of any other
paragraph of this section shall be as provided in Section 26-1-8
of these ordinances."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is
necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt
Lake City, Utah, that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
20th day of December , 196_
