An Ordinance amending and re-e nacting as amended Section
193, in Chapter V of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah,
of 1913.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 193, in Chapter V of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah of 1913, be, and the same hereby
is amended and re-enacted as amended so as to be and read as follows:
SECTION 193. It shall be unlawful for any person to build,
make or establGh or permit or cause to be built, made or establish-
ed within two hundred feet of any spring, stream, well or water
source supplying water to mankind for drinking or culinary purpos-
es, any privy, vault, water closet or cesspool, or any reservoir
or receptacle into which any privy, water closet, stable or sink
is or may be drained.
It shall be unlawful for any person to build, make or
establish or to permit to be built, made or established upon any
land that slopes or drains to any spring, stream, well or water
source supplying water to mankind for drinking or culinary pur-
poses, any privy, water closet, vault or cesspool, stable, stock
pen, or any reservoir or receptacle into which any privy, water
closet, stable or stock pen or pig pen is or may be drained.
It shall be unlawful for any person to dump or deposit or
to cause or permit to be dumped or deposited within two hundred
feet or any spring, stream, well or water source supplying water
to mankind for drinking or culinary purposes, any filth, garbage,

refuse, trash or dirt, or to dump or deposit or to cause or permit
to be dumped or deposited any filth, garbage, refuse, trash or dirt
on any land that slopes or drains to any spring, stream, well or ,,\

It shall be unlawful fdr any person to build or maintain a
!pig pen within one hundred feet of any well or spring of water used
for drinking purposes,. Or within fifty feet of any street or any in-
- habited house.
It shall be unlawful for any ,pe son to establish or maintain
a hog yard or piggery,within one hundred feet: of any natural stream
or water course used'.'for culinary purposes, and the drainage from
same shall in no caseibe permitted to reach any natural stream.
'it shall be unlawful for any person to build or make or to cause
to be built or made any house, cottage, structure, barn or stable for
housing either man or beast within one hundred feet of any spring,
stream, well or water source supplying water to mankind for drinking
or culinary purposes.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall ake effect upon itls first
