A B ORDINANCE .
An erdi*anee extending and re-enacting Section 24 of the Revised
Ordinaeoss of Salt Lake City, 1903.
Re it ordained by the City Couneil of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SlTTION 1. That Section 34 et the Revised Ordinances of Salt
&eke City, 190S, be, and the sages hereby is amended and re-enacted 1

SOCTS0O 24. Imo' AUDITOR, MSC AND $COO-K35UPER. The
City Auditor shall have the IOW to appoint, during the term 1
fir which he is *looted, a *impotent person to the position of
OUpaty Auditor, sMjset to eostiraation by the City Council,
who shall held office until the Mender next succeeding the ex-
piration or the tern of office of the appointing power, and un-
til his eneesasor is appointed and qualified. The Deputy
Auditor shall receive as oeslessation a salary of fifteen hun- 4
drat (31600.O0) dollars per annum in full for all services
rendered the City, the said salary to be paid monthly as are
the salaries of ether city officers.
In the absence, or during the disability of the City
Auditor, the Deputy Auditor shall exercise all functions and
powers of the City Auditor. He shall give a bond to the City
in the sum of five thoueand ($5,000.00) dollars. The Auditor
shall also have the power to employ during the term for which
he is *looted, a suitable person as clerk, at a salary of nine
hundred ($000.00) dollars per aonus, payable monthly as are the
salaries of other city employees.
The Auditor shall also have the power to employ, during
the term for which he is elected, a suitable person as book-
keeper, at a salary of twelve hundred ($1200.00) dollars per
annurnp payable monthly as are the salaries of other city
employees.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in oonflct
-a-
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City,Utah,February
19th,1906, and referred to the Mayor for his approval.
