AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER LXV of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to zoning
by adding in and to said Chapter a new Section to be known as
Section 6739, relating to official street maps.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Chapter LXV of the Revised Ordinances
<
's--of Salt Lake City, Utah, 19414, be and the same is hereby amended
by adding in and to said Chapter a new section to be known as
Section 6739, relating to official street maps, which shall read
as follows:
, ,q "SECTION 6739. OFFICIAL MAP.
8 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission •of Salt Lake City has
heretofore adopted a major street plan for Salt Lake City; and
:9 WHEREAS, in the future it is intended to establish and
adopt official maps showing the boundary lines of public
streets in Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City is
desirous of adopting by ordinance an official street map fixing
and establishing new boundary lines for widening California
Avenue between Redwood Road and 8th West Street with the exten-
sion of California Avenue to connect with 13th Seuth Street
at 7th West Street, said map to be known as "Official Map of
Salt Lake City, No. 3"; and
WHEREAS, on December 6th, 1951, a favorable public hearing
was held on the adoption of said proposed Official Map of Salt
Lake City, No. 3, and which map also heretofore has received

the approval of the Planning Commission of Salt Lake City.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of Commissio -
ers of Salt Lake City that the "Official Map of Salt Lake Cit ,
No. 3," three copies of which are on file in the office of
the City Recorder of Salt Lake City, which map fixes and es-
tablishes new boundary lines for the widening of California
Avenue between Redwood Road and 6th West Street with the ex-
tension of California Avenue to connect with 13th South Stree
at 7th West Street in Salt Lake City, be and the same is here
by approved, accepted and adopted as`ai official map of Salt
Lake City, and directs that.`this' ordinance and the "Official
Map of Salt:;Lake City„-'No. 3," be recorded in the office of
the Cpunty fle,gorder ot;.Salt -Lake :County, and that a copy
thereof be ;paced'on le in the office'of the City Planning
