AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 of Title 50, of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to Standards of
Specific Commodity Sales, by adding thereto a new section to be known
as Sec. 50-6-10, relating to declaration of unit price on random
packages.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 6 of Title 50, Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to Standards of Specific Commodity
Sales, be, and the same hereby is, amended by adding thereto a new
section to be known as Sec. 50-6-10, relating to declaration of unit price'
on random packages, to read as follows:
"Sec. 50-6-10. Declaration of unit price on random packages.
In addition to the declaration required by Section 50-6-7, any
commodity in package form, the package being one og.a lot con-
taining random weights, measures, or counts of the same commodity
and bearing the total selling price of the package, shall bear
on the outside of the package a plain and conspicuous declara-
tion of the price per single unit of weight, measure, or count."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is
necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt
Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect argon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
