Result AN ORDINANCE
An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
commencing at Tenth South Street (now Thirteenth South Street) and
Seventh West Street; thence north on Seventh West Street to Seventh
South Street; thence west on Seventh South Street to Ninth West
Street; thence north on Ninth Pest Street to Second North Street;
thenoe west on Second North Street to Eleventh 'West Street; thence
north on Eleventh 'West Street to Ninth North Street; also on Seventh
North Street between Eighth West and EleventhWest Streets; and on
Sixth South Street between Eighth West and Ninth Pest Streets, in
Sewer District No. 2, for the construction of sewers.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City
does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same
upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District No. 2, for
the construction of sewers, to-wit:
In Lots 1 and 58, Block 3; 1 and 58, Block 2; 1, Block 1, Albert
Place Subdivision; 1 to 13, inclusive, Block 1; 1 to 13, inclusive,
Block 8, Muscatine Place Subdivision; 1, and 45 to 56, inclusive,
J. Bolton & Co. 's Subdivision of Cobb's Addition; 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and
12 to 20, inclusive, all in Block 8, Five Acre Flat "B", Big Field
Survey, abutting on both sides of SeventhPest Street between Ninth
South and Tenth South (now Thixtee{ith South) Streets.

This tax is levied to defray a portion of the expense of con-
structing main trunk sewer of re-inforced concrete (sectional area
from five (5) square feet to thirty-nine (39) square feet), upon
the lots or parcels of ground fronting or abutting upon the above
mentioned streets for which said sewer will serve as a lateral, to
be affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby
adjudged, determined and established that said property will be
especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby
levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal
and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon
said portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of
twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied
and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is fifty-five hundred
thirty-seven and 71/100 ($5537.71) dollars, or one and 5/100 O1.0•)
dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for sewer in
center of street, there being 5274.01 feet abutting said portion
of said improvement within the boundaries of the lots, block and
street above mentioned in said district, which is the total cost
and cost per front foot of said sewer, according to the contract

entered into for the performance of said work and making said
improvement with Gibbons Brothers, Reed and Roche, dated the 5th
day of August, 1915, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and
directed to assess, in accordance with the provisions of this
ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned:

The west side of the south 212.1 feet of the east 726 feet: of
Lot 12, the west side of the east 726 feet of Lots 13 and 14, the
west side of Lots 15 to 20, inclusive, the west side of the north
260.1 feet of Lot 1; the east side of the south 50 feet of Lot 58,
the east side of Lot 1, Block 3; the east side of lets Lots 1 and
58, Block 2; the east side of Lot 1, Block 1, Albert Place Subdivi
lion; the east side of Lots 1 to 13, inclusive, Block 1; the east

side of Lots 1 to 13, inclusive, Block 8, Muscatine Place Subdivi-
sion; the east side of the south 42.11 feet of the west 693 feet
of Lot 6, the east side of the west 693 feet of Lots 4 and 5, the
east side of the north 194.5 feet of the west 693 feet of Lot 3;
the east side of tkirmitinsinit5ixitalcinuse Lots lm and 45 to 56, inclu-
sive, J. Bolton & Co.'s Subdivision of Cobb's Addition, all in
Block 8, Five Acre Plat "B", Big Field Survey, as the same are
shown upon the official plate of said City to a depth of twenty-
five (25) feet back from said street, and to collect said tax.
SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five
equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum unpaid
at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the time each
installment is due, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one year after the
ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such
improvement becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in two years afte
said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in three years
after said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in four
years after said ordinance becomes effective; and one-fifth there-
of in five years after said ordinance becomes effective. One or
more of said installments, in the order in which they are payable,
or the whole special tax, may be paid at any time within thirty
days after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax becomes
effective, without interest. In the event of any installment, or
the interest aforesaid not being paid on the day the same becomes
due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said
installment and interest are due, shall become due and payable,
and shall draw interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum
until the sale of the property assessed; provided, one or more
installments, in the order in which they are payable, or the whol
special tax unpaid, may be paid on the day any installment become-
due, by paying the amount thereof and interest to said date.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect one day after
its first publication.
