AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 2-16-2 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to parking areas,
by adding thereto a new subsection (f) relating to the authorized
rates for public parking lots.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 2-16-2 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to parking areas, be,
and the same hereby is, amended by adding thereto a subsection (f) to
read as follows:
Sec. 2-16-2(f). No person shall park a motor vehicle
in an area designated as a public parking lot unless said
person pays the authorized rate for such public parking
lot which shall be as follows:
Short term lots -- combined lots one and two:
For the first half-hour 25 cents
For the second half-hour . . . . . . . 25 cents
For each additional hour or
fraction thereof 25 cents
Maximum fee for any 24 hour period . . $2.00
Long term lot:
1-3 days $6 00
Any additional day $2.00 with a maximum
of $10.00 per week.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, it is necessary to the peace, health and the welfare of the
inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this Ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first pub-
lication.
Passed by the Board of City Commissioners of Salt e City, Utah,
this 21st day of November, 1973.
