An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
en both sides of all wide streets within the district bounded on
the west by 14'inth East Street, on the north by South Temple Street,
®n the east by the Reservation, and on the south by Fifth South
Street, except where sidewalks are already laid, and on both irides
of Dbuglas Avenue between Second South and Fourth South Streets,
in Sidewalk Districts Nos. 2, 4, 6, 14, 22 and 23, ,for the con-
struction of cement sidewalks.
Be it ordained by the City Council of .SaltyT,ake "City, Utah:
SECTI019' 1. That the City Council does "hereby levy the tax and

provide for the assessment of the same upon-the,property herein-

6, 14, 22 and 23, said property having a frontage of 371,.393 feet
along said streets.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing eem-

ent sidewalks six (6) fe• wide and four (4) inches thick on both
sides of s11 wide streets within the district bounded on the west
by Ninth East Street, on the north by South Temple Street, on the
east by the Reservation, and on the south by Fifth South Street,
except where sidewalks are already laid; and a cement sidewalk five
(5) feet wide and four (4) inches thick on both sides of Douglas
Avenue between Second South and Fourth South Streets, opposite the

to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of
land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in aceord Y4

with the linear foot frontage' upon said portions of said streets
fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back there- "
from, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said par-
cels of land is thirty-eight thousand eight hundred sixty-six and
65/100 ($38,866.65) dollars; thirty-six thousand four hundred nine:-
ty and 65/100 ($36,490.65) dollars or one and 5/100 ($1.oE dollars
per front or linear foot of abutting property on said wide streets
in said district, there being 34,753 feet of abutting property on
said wide streets; and two thousand three hundred and seventy-six
($2,376.00) dollars, or 90/100 (10.90) dollars per front or lin-
ear foot of abutting property on said lruglas Avenue , there being
2,640 feet of abutting property on said avenue, which is the esti-
mated total cost and estimated oost per linear foot of said side-
walks, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to
assess in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance for the
purpose herein mentioned:

SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in six (64.
equal installments, as follows, to-wit: 0ne-si.xth thereof shall ,
become and be delinquent one month after the approval of this ordi-
nance; one-sixth thereof in one year after such approval; one-sixth
thereof in two years after such approval; one-sixth thereof in thre
years after such approval; one-sixth thereof in four years after
such approval; and one-sixth thereof in five years after such appro-
val. Each and every installment of said tax except the first, shal
draw interest at the rate of six per cent per annum from date of'
levy until delinquent,, and each and every installment of said tax
