AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 51-12-2 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to rezoning and fixing bound-
aries of use districts.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, had
determined that i the rezoning of certain properties currently
zoned Residential 'R-4', located on the East side of Seventh East
between Belmont Avenue and 1300 South Street to a Residential 'R-2'
classification will encourage compatible residential activity therein
and shall be in the best interest of this community, said Board
hereby adopts the following amendments to the use district provisions
of Title 51.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the use and "Use District Map" as adopted by
Section 51-12-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah,
1965, as amended, relating to fixing boundaries of use districts, be,
and the same hereby is, amended as follows:
The following described parcel of real property in •
a residential R-4 district situated along the East
side of 700 East Street between Belmont Avenue South
to 1300 South Street, more particularly described
below, is hereby zoned residential "R-2" and the il '
"Use District Map" is hereby amended and changed I0 u{1 •
accordingly.
Beginning at a point which is on the Southeast
corner of the intersection of Belmont Avenue and
700 East Street, which point is 584.1 feet South
of the Northwest corner of Block 18 of the 5 Acre
Plat A, Big Field Surevey; thence running South
2,287.36 feet, more or less, along the East line
of 700 East Street to 1300 South Street; thence
East 157.0 feet along the North line of 1300 South
Street; thence North 2,287.36 feet more or less
to the South line of Belmont Avenue; thence West
157.0 feet to the point of beginning.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days
after its first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 16th day of October , 1979.
