AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Sections 44-3-3, 44-3-6, 44-3-9, 44-3-16, 4-3-17
and 44-3-18 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating
to ambulance driver's licenses, and repealing Section 44-3-19, of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to display of
badge.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Sections 44-3-3, 44-3-6, 44-3-16, 44-3-17 and 44-3-18
of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to
ambulance driver's licenses, be, and the same hereby are, amended to read
as follows:
"Sec. 44-3-3. Application for driver's license. An application
for an ambulance driver's license shall be filed with the Salt Lake
City police department on forms provided by the city."
"Sec. 44-3-6. Fee to accompany application. At the time the
application is filed, the applicant shall pay to the city treasurer
the sum of four dollars."
"Sec. 44-3-9. Photographs required. The prospective applicant
shall be required to have a photograph taken of him at police
headquarters; applicants for renewal of ambulance driver's licenses
shall furnish an up-to-date photograph or have an additional picture
of him taken at police headquarters as shall be determined and
directed by the chief of police."
"Sec. 44-3-16. Upon approval of an application for an ambulance
driver's license by the board of commissioners, the police depart-
ment shall issue to the applicant an ambulance driver's license
which shall bear his name, address, color, age, signature and
photograph of the applicant."
"Sec. 44-3-17. Duration of license. Renewal. The license shall
be in effect for the remainder of the calendar year and the licensee
may receive a new licdnse for each calendar year thereafter upon the
payment of the fee of four dollars, unless the license for the pre-
ceding year has been suspended or revoked."
"Sec. 44-3-18. Display of license. Every driver licensed under
this chapter shall post his ambulance driver's license in such a place
as to be in full view of all passengers while such driver is operating
an ambulance."

SECTION 2. That Section 44-3-19 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to display of badge, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is neces-
sary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City
that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
