AN ORDINANCE.
An ordinance amending Section 826x11 of Chapter 31 of
the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, relating to penalties
for violation of any of the provisions of said Chapter 31, relating
to intoxicating liquor.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 826x11 of Chapter 31 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1913, as amended by an
ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners September 23, 1913,
be and the same is hereby amended and re-enacted so as to read as
follows: -
Sea. 826x11. Any person who shall violate any of the
provisions of this Chapter, shall upon conviction thereof be
punished when not otherwise provided in this Chapter, by a
fine of not more than$299,00 or by imprisonment in the City
Jail for not more than six months or by both such fine and
imprisonment.
SECTION 2. No offense committed and no penalty or for-
feiture incurred under any of the provisions of Chapter 31 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City as amended by an ordinance
passed by the Board of Commissioners September 23, 1913, and no
prosecution; action or proceeding pending under the same shall be
affected by the within amendment to Section 826x11. In all prose-
cutions for a violation of any of the provisions contained in said
Chapter 31 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, where
the offense was committed prior to the date the within amendment
to Section 826x11 becomes effective, the penalty imposed in case of
conviction shall be the penalty existing and provided for at the
time of the commission of such offense.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect one day after
publication.
