AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Chapter 1 of Title/7 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, pertaining to general provisions of the
Board of Health, by adding thereto a new section 17-1-8, making each day
of a violation of the health ordinances a separate offense.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 1 of Titlel7 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, pertaining to general provisions of the Board
of Health, be, and the same hereby is, amended by adding thereto a new
section 17-1-8, making each day of a violation of the health ordinances
a`separate offense, to read as follows:
Sec. 17-1-8. Each day a separate violation. Each day a
violation of the health ordinances exists shall constitute
a separate violation. Each day of a failure to comply with
the rules and regulations of the health department shall con-
stitute a separate offense. Each day a nuisance is not abated
or removed pursuant to an order of the board of health shall
constitute a separate violation.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, it is necessary to the health, peace, safety and welfare of
the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first pub-
lication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
4th day of December, 1973.
