An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property en the north side of Eleventh Street from the east side of B Street to a point midway between I and N Streets, in Sidewalk District No. 24, for the construction of a Dement sidewalk. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property herein- after described in Lots 1 and 2, Block 157; 1 and 2, Block 158; 1 and 2, Block 159; 1 and 2, Block 160; 1 and 2, Block 161; 1 and 2, Block 162; 1 and 2, Block 163; 1 and 2, Block 164; 1 and. 2, Block 165; 1 and 2, Block 167; 2, Block 168;7 to 16, inclusive, Dunford's Subdivision of Block 166, Plat "D", Salt'Zake'CEty'Survey, abutting on the north side of Eleventh Street from the' east side of B Street to a point midway between M and N Streets, .in Sidewalk District $4, said property having a frontage of 3,795 feet along said street. This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing a cement sidewalk four (4) feet wide and four (4) inches thick upon said portion of said street apposite the property hereinafter des- cribed to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that the same will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate to accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portion of said street fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and . to be assessed upon said parcels of land is four thousand one hun- dred seventy-four and 50/100 ($4,174.50) dollars, or one and 10/100 (01.10) dollars per front or linear foot, which is the estimated total cost and estimated cost per linear foot of said sidewalk, and the Treasurer is hereby authori ed and directed to assess in acreerd-! -2- ance with the provisions of this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned: All of Lots 1 and 2, Block 157, All of Lots 1 and 2, Block 158, All of Lots 1 And 2, Block 159, • All of Lota,l and 2, Block 160, All of Lots/ and`2, Block 161, • All of Lots 1 and 2, Block 162, All of Lots .1 and 2, Block 163, All of Lots-1 and 2, Block 164, All of Lots 1 and 2, Block 165, All of Lots 1 and 2, Block 167, All of Lot 2, Block 168, All of Lots 7 to 16, inclusive,. Dunford's Subdivision on Block 166, Plat "D", Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the Official plats of said City to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said street, and to collect said tax. SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in six (6) equal installments, as follows, to-wit: One-sixth thereof shall become and be dainvent one month after the approval of this ordi- nanee; one-sixth thereof in one year after such approval; one-sixth thereof in two years after such approval; one-sixth thereof in threei years after such approval; one-sixth thereof in four years after such approval; and one-sixth thereof in five years after such ap- proval. Each and every installment of said tax except the first, .1 shall draw interest at the rate of six per cent per annum from date of levy until delinquent, and each and every installment of said • I tax shall bear interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum from and after its date of delinquency. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval. Sidewalk Extension No. 118.
