AN ORDINANCE .
An ordinance mending and re-enacting Section 530 of the Re-
vised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 530 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City of 1903-, ti'e, and the same hereby is amended and re-enact-
ed so as to read:as
SECTIOI4 550._. SPECIAL POLICE. LENGTH OE TERM. CITY RE-
CORDER TO KEEP :ROOK. The Chief of Police, with the advice and
consent of the fity:Coufleil, and approval of:the Mayor, may at
any time appoint special policemen to serve without pay from
the City, said appointment not to be made for a longer period
than one year from the date of said appointment.
The City Recorder shall keep a book containing the names
of such appointees, the date of appointment, and the date of
the expiration of term of office.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTIOI 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
