An ordinance amending and re.-enacting Section 400 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903, as amended by an ordinance pass d
by the City Council February 23, 1909, and approved by the Mayor Feb-
ruary 24, 1909.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 400 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City of 1903, as amended by an ordinance passed by the City Coun-
cil February 23, 1909, s>nd approved by the Mayor February 24, 1909,
be, and the same is hereby amended and re-enacted so as to read as
Hfollows:
SECTION 400. VEHICLS. It shall be unlawful for any per-
son, firm or corporation to engage in the business of hackman,
passenger carrier, drayman, carter, omnibus driver, piano mover,
expressman or cabman upon the streets of Salt Lake City without
first obtaining a license so to do.
For such license there shall be paid en annv.al license tax,
which shall be pain into the City Treasury annually i.n advance,
the amounts of money as follows:
For license to run an omnibus $25.00
For a license to run a passenger vehicle drawn
by two or more horses e 20.00
For a license to run e. passenger vehicle drawn
by one horse 15.00
For a license to run an automobile carrying
not more than four persons 30.00
For a license to run an automobile carrying
more than four persons 40.00
For a license to nun a. vehicle for carrying
express matter,such vehicle being drawn by
one horse 10.00
For a license to run a vehicle for carrying.
express matter, such vehicle being; drawn by
two or more horses 12.00
For a. license to run a vehicle for the carrying
of freight, such vehicle being drawn by
one horse- - - - 5.00
For a license to run a vehicle for the carrying
of freight, such vehicle being drawn by two
or more horses 12.00
For a license to run a vehicle for the carrying
of pianos exclusively, such vehicle being
drawn by one horse 9.00
For a license to run a vehicle for the carrying
of pianos exclusively, such vehicle being ^

For a license to run a vehicle for the carrying
of furniture, or a vehicle for moving house-
hold furniture, such vehicle being drawn by
one horse $ 5.00
For a license to run a vehicle for carrying
furniture, or a vehicle for moving house-
hold furniture, such vehicle being drawn
by two or more horses 12.00
For a license to run en automobile freight
wagon 25.00
