14 of 1905 - Ordinance 14 of 1905 – Powers of Sealer of Weights and Measures. AN ORDINANCE .
An ordinance amending Section 590 of Chapter XLV of the Re-
vised Ordinances of Salt Lake City.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 590 of Chapter XLV of the Revised Or-
dinances cf Salt Lake City be, and the same hereby is amended to
read as follows:
SECTION 590. =PING wEIGHING INSTRUMENTS NOT CONFORM- '
ABLE TO STANDARD PROHIBITED. It shall be unlawful for any pen-
son to use, to keep or permit at his place of business where
articles to be bought or sold, or offered or exposed for sale
are weighed or measured, or upon his wagon or other vehicle
used in his business of weighing or measuring articles to be
bought or sold, any weight, measure, scale, beam, patent bal-
ance, steelyard or other instrument which has not been sealed
as provided in this chapter, or which does not conform to the
standards of Salt Lake City, or the State of Utah, or which
shall be out of order or incorrect.
St shall also hi unlawful for any person to keep, have or sell
any short measure, mould or Weight, which pretend or purports to be a
measure, mould or weight for a greater Quantity than it aotually is.

aiiurI.oN 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
