An ordinance amending and re-enacting Section 736 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Leke City of 1903.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 736 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City of 1903, be, and the same hereby is amended and re-enacted
se as to read as fijlows; .>
736. ASSISTANTS #POINTHTITT. COMPENSATION. The iSuper-
visor of Streete Shall .134ve the power to appoint, dt.riniUthe
term for which he is ap Hinted, subject to oonfirmation 'Iy the
Council, a ohiof clerk at,.a salary of twelve hundred dol,Iars per
annum, and a iu 11 tax xp,7.,1;eotor at e salary of nine hundito. dol-
lars pe-r annum,'_ such salaries to be payable monthly as are the
salaries of other city employees. The Supervisor of Streets
shall also have power to employ foremen, stablemen, engineers,
laborers and teams in such manner and at such compensation as
the necessities of his office may demand, and the City Council
authorize.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinan-
ces and resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the
extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
