AN ORDINANCE AMX DING SECTIONS 1995, 2022 and 2041 of
Chapter LXIV of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah,
1920, relating to water supply and water works.
SECTION 1. That Section 1995 of Chapter LXIV of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, be and it is
hereby amended by adding thereto the following paragraph:
The minimum size for service pipe shall be 3/4
inch from the curb box to the stop and waste cock located
inside the building.
SECTION 2. That Section 2022 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, be and it is hereby amended by add-
ing to the first paragraph of said section the following:
It shall be unlawful for any person to do or per-
mit to be done any of the things hereinafter described in any
canyon,or along any stream of water.used by the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City for their water supply anywhere within
fifteen miles above the point where such water is taken by
said city and within a distance of 300 feet on either side
of said stream or at any point where the waste or drainage
therefrom will naturally find its.lOy into such stream of water.
SECTION 3. That Section 2041 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City Utah, 1920, be and it is hereby amended by adding
thereto the following paragraph:
Whenever a city water main shall have been laid in

front of any premises already connected to a private pipe
the owner or occupant shall upon notice of the Superintends t
of Water works secure the necessary permit for re-connecting
by the Water Works Department upon penalty of the water be-
ing shut off.
SECTION 4. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioner
it is necessary to the health, peace and safety of the inhabitan s

SECTION 5. Thin ordinance shall take effect upon its
first publication. —�
