AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION ld?3 of the Devised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1933, as amended by an ordi-
nance passed by the Board of Commissioners on March 26, 1936,
relating to traffic.
Le it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 1423 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1933, as amended by an ordinance passed by the

Board of Commissioners on March v, 1966, relating to traffic, be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
SEC. 1=23. Driving and. Parking in the City' and County
Building Grounds. Those certain streets or ways approaching
and surrounding the City and County Suild_ing located in Block
38, Plat "A", Salt Lake City Survey, and -which said block is
bounded on the east by Second East Street, on the crest by State
Street, on the north by Fourth South Street and on the south by
Fifth South ;:tract are hereby declared to be closed to vehicular
traffic, and it shall be unlawful for any person to drive, park
or leave any vehicle within said block, except that the driveway
entering said block from Second East Street and running thence
due west to the entrance of the City and County Building may be
used as a means of ingress and egress to said building and no
person shall between the hours of eight o'clock A. B. and six
o'clock P. Id., except on Sundays and legal holidays, allow any
vehicle to stand therein for a period longer than thirty minutes.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it
is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of
Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect immediately.
