AN ORDINANCE AMENDINa'CHAPTER LIX of the Revised

Ordinances of Salt Lake City', Utah, 1944, as amended by an
ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners on May 12,
1949, relating to traffic and travel on streets.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Chapter LIX of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, as amended by an ordinance passed
by the Board of Commissioners on May 12, 1949, relating to traffic
and travel on streets, be and the same is hereby further amended
by adding in and to said Chapter a new section to be known as Sec-
tion 6177, which shall read as follows:
"SEC. 6177. EVIDENCE REQUIRED ON PARKING VIOLATIONS.
The presence of any vehicle in or upon any public street in
Salt Lake City, parked in violation of the city ordinance
regulating the parking of vehicles, shall be prima-facie
evidence that the person in whose name such vehicle is regis-
tered, as owner, committed or authorized the commission of
such violation."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall ke of c at once upon
its first publication.
