AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 51-2-1 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1955, relating to the creation of the Board of Adjust-
ment and compensation.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah.
SEUT10h 1. That Section 51-2-1 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake
City, Utah, 1955, relating to the creation of the Board of Adjustment and
compensation be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 51-2-1. Board created. Pursuant to 10-9-6 U. C. A. 1953,
and in order to carry out;the provisions thereof, there is hereby
created a board of adjustment, which shall consist of five members,
each of whom shall be appointed by the board of commissioners of
Salt Lake City, Utah, for a term of three years or until his successor

is appointed and qualified. Each member of said board of adjustment
may be allowed compensation at the rate of 410.00 for each meeting
of the said board attended by such member."
SEUTiuN 2. in the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is neces-
sary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City
that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTIuN 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
