Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SEMION 1. That the Clty Council does herebyYemy:the tax and provide for the assessment. of the same upon the property herein- after described in Lots Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 42'; 1 and 2, Block 41; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 31; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 32; 9, 10 and 11, Thorn's Court Subdivision, Block 32; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, Block 33; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, Block 24; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 23; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 22; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8? This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing vit.ri—1 fled pipe sewers eight (8) inches in diameter' upon said portions of said streets opposite the property hereinafter described to be es- pecially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that the same will be: especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage. upon ' said portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is fifty-two thousand' seven hundred seventy-four and 87/100 ($52,774.87) dollars; forty- eight thousand two hundred two and 87/100 (448,202.87) dollars, or one and 75/100 (41.75) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting , property for sewer on both sides of street in District No. 2, there being 27,544.5 feet of abutting property in said district; and 'our thousand five hundred and seventy-two (: 4,572.00) dollars, or 40/100 (*0.90) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting prop- erty for sewer in middle of street in District No. 2, there being 5,080 feet of abutting property in said district, which is the es- jl timated total cost and estimated cost per front foot of said sewer, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess iin accordance with the provisions of this ordinance for the purpbsa . -3- herein mentioned: Sewer on both Sides of Street. SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in six (6) equal installments, as follows, to-wit: One-sixth thereof shall become and be delinquent one month after the approval of this ordi- nance; one-sixth thereof in one year" after such approval; one-sixth thereof in two years after such approval; one-sixth thereof in threes; years after such approval; one-sixth thereof in four years after such approval; and one-sixth thereof in five years after such ap- proval. Each and every installment of said tax except the first, shall dras interest at the rate of six per cent per annum from date of levy until delinquent, and each and every installment of said tax shall bear interest; at the rate of eight per cent per annum from and after its date of delinquency. SECTI0B 3.
