AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 20-4-3 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to street advertising prohibited in
the central business district.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 20-4-3 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt

Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating,to street advertising prohibited in the
central business district, be, and the same hereby is amended as follows:
"Sec. 20-4-3. All street advertising prohibited in the F
central business district. It shall be unlawful for any
person to advertise his avocation or business in any
manner in the central business district, except in accor-
dance with Title 51 Chapter 7, "Sign regulations", of these
revised ordinances; the central business district shall be
defined as that area, within the area or upon the streets,
bounded on the north by the north side of South Temple
Street, on the east by the east side of 2nd East Street, on
the south by the south side of 5th South Street, and on the
west by the west side of 2nd West Street."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, it is necessary to the health, peace and welfare of the
inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
4th day of December, 1975.
