Mr.Chairman —_---. •4�.�., Result An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of proper ty on Second South Street between Tenth East and Twelfth East Streets, in Paving District 27, and. in Paving Extension No. 76, for the purpose of providing for grading, guttering and curbing with come Honstructing drainage system across intersections, and paving thereof. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: ji SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving Distric 11 No. 27, for the purpose of grading, guttering and curbing with cement, constructing drainage system across intersections, and paving thereof, towit: 1 In Lots 5 and 6, Block 28; 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 29; 1 and 11 2, Block 30; 5, 6, Block 27; and grading, guttering and curbing 1 with cement and constructing drainage system across intersections, to-wit: In Lots 7 and 8, Block 27, all in Plat "F", Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on both sides of Second South Street between Tenth East and Twelfth East Streets. This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, gutted- ing and curbing with cement, constructing drainage system across intersections, and paving with Utah Rock asphalt seven (7) inches thick, two roadways twenty-four (24) feet wide with parking twent - four (24) feet between, and the north of two twenty-four (24) foot roadways with park forty-four (44) feet between; the south o said roadways to be graded, curbed and guttered only, upon that portion of said street opposite the property hereinbefore des- cribed to be especially affected and benefited by said improvemen , and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said to property will be especially benefited thereby/the full amount of he tax hereby levied, and said parcels cif land are hereby assessed 14 at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear £opt frontage upon said portions of said street, fronting upon and to. a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax here, by levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is sevent. thousand seven hundred thirty-six and 59/100 (0i7, 736.59) dollaj fourteen thousand five hundred nineteen and 91/100 (014, 519.91)L dollars, or seven and 622/1000 ( 7.622) dollars per front or line ftv9.4 of butting property for roadway seventy-two (72) feet wide. ; 24t. pars there being 1905 feet abutting said portion of said improvement; two thousand four hundred twenty-three and 80/100 ($2, 423.80) '' dollars, or seven and 622/1000 ( 7.622) dollars per front or lineah foot of abutting property for roadway ninety-two (92) feet wide, 44-ft. park, there being 318 feet abutting said portion of said improvement, a • seven hundred ninety-two and 88/100 (0792.88) dollars, or two and 9366/10000 ( 2.9366) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting without pavement, property for roadway ninety-two (92) feet wide,[there being 270 feet abutting said portion of said improvement, within the bound- aries of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned in said dis- trict, which is the total cost and cost per front foot of said improvement, according to the contract entered into for the per- formance of said work and making said improvement, with G. A. Heman, dated September 28, 1912, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess, in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned: Seventy-two ft. roadway with 24-ft. Park. II) The north side of lots 5 and 6, Block 28; the south sid of lots 1 and 4; the south side of the west 132 ft. of lot 3,the south side of the east 132 ft. of Lot 2, Block 29; the south side of lot 2, the south side of the west 12 ft. of lot 1, Block 30; the north side of lot 5, the north side of the west 144 ft. of lot 6, Block 27, Plat "P", Salt Lake City Survey; -2- 1 92-ft. Roadway with 44-ft. Park. (Asphalt Pavement.) The south side of the east 318 ft. of Lot 1, Block 30, Plat "F", Salt Lake City, Survey; 92-ft. Roadway with 44-ft. Park. (Without Asphalt Pavement) The north side of the east 140 ft. of Lot 8, the north side of the west 10 ft. of Lot 8, the north side of the east 120 ft. of Lot 7, Block 27, Plat "F", Salt Lake City Survey,as the same are shown upon the official plats of said city to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said street, and to collect said tax. SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in ten equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum unpaid et the rate of six per cent. per annum, payable at the time each installment is due, towit: One-tenth thereof one year after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such improvement becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in two years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in txx three years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in four years after said ordinance becomes effective; one- tenth thereof in five years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in six years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in seven years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in eight years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in nine years after said ordinance becomes effective, and one-tenth thereof in ten years after said ordinance becomes effective. One or more instal - ments, in the order in which they are payable, or the whole speci 1 tax, may be paid at'any time within thirty days after the ordin- ance confirming the levy of the tax becomes effective, without interest . In the event of any installment, or the interest afore- said, not being paid on the date the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of eight per cent. per annum until the sale I , I of the property assessed; provided, one or more installments, in the order in which they are payable, or the whole special tax un- paid, may be paid on the day any installment becomes due, by pay- ing the amount thereof and interest to said date.
