AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 43-9-3 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to
the penalty clause under Chapter 9, pertaining to
taxicabs.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 43-9-3 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to
the penalty clause under Chapter 9, pertaining to taxi-
cabs, be, and the same hereby is, amended as follows:
"Sec. 43-9-3. Penalty. Any violation of
any of the provisions of this title is hereby
declared to be a misdemeanor and shall be punish-
able by a fine up to $299.00 or a jail sentence
of up to six months, or both such fine and
imprisonment.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City, it is necessary to the health, peace and
welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this
ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lak- City.
Utah, this 27th day of November, 1974.
