AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 20-29-18 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to bond required for non profit
clubs and associations.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Title 20 Chapter 29 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965 relating to non profit clubs and associations,
be, and the same hereby is, amended by adding thereto a new section
pertaining to bonding requirements to read as follows:
"Section 20-29-18. Bond required. No Class B License
may be issued pursuant to this Chapter unless and until the
applicant shall deposit with the City a corporate surety bond
in the penal sum of $5,000.00 for non profit clubs and
association licensees, conditional that said licensee shall
faithfully observe and comply with all ordinances and laws
pertaining to non profit clubs and associations, and that
such bond shall indemnify Salt Lake City and any person
injured or damaged by reason of the failure of said licensee
to comply with said ordinances and laws, or in the alternative
shows compliance with the bonding requirements of Section
16-6-13.1, Utah Code Annotated.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, it is necessary to the health, peace and welfare of the inhab-
itants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
December 1974.
