Result AN ORDINANCE
An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
on Ninth South Street bet,~een Ninth East and Eleventh East Streets,
and on Eleventh East Street between Ninth South Street and Yale
Avenue, in Paving Districts Nos. 31 and 32, end in Paving Extension
No. 91, for the purpose of providing for the grading, guttering and
curbing, constructing drainage and irrigation systems, and paving
thereof.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City
does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same
upon the property hereinafter described in Paving Districts Nos. 31
and 32, for the purpose of providing for the grading, guttering and
curbing, constructing drainage end irrigation systems, and paving
thereof, to-wit:
In Lots 12; 11 to 15, inclusive, Gilmer Place Subdivision; 21
and 22, Block 3; 21 and 22, Block 4, Belmont Subdivision, all in
Block 17, Five Acre Pleat "A", Big Field Survey, abutting on the
south side of Ninth South Street between Ninth East and Eleventh
East Streets.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, guttering
and curbing with cement, constructing drainage and irrigation
system from four (4) inches to fifteen (15) inches in diameter, of

cement, vitrified, corrugated iron and wrought iron pipe, and
paving with Uteh rock asphalt a roadway (said roadway being
sixty (60) feet wide bet-een curbs and eight (8) inches thick)
on Ninth South Street between Ninth East end Eleventh East
Streets, the portions of said streets opposite the property
hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially
affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby
adjudged, determined and established that seid Property will
be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax
hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed
at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear
foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting
upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom,
and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcel
of land is eighty-two hundred fifty-one and 50/100 (08251.5O)
dollars; seventy-three hundred fifty-six and 60/100 (07356.60
dollars, or six and 70/100 ( 6.70) dollars per front or linen.

of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned in said dis-
trict, which is the total cost and cost per front foot of
said improvement, according to the contract entered into for
the performance of said work and making said improvement, wi.h
Strange-Maguire Paving Company, dated the 9th day of October,
1913, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to
assess, in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance,

The north side of the east 172.5 feet, and the north
side of the west 132 feet of the east 321 feet of Lot 12; the
north side of Lots 11 to 15, inclusive, Gilmer Plece Subdivir
sion; the north si3e of the east 99 feet-of the west 132 feet
of hot 12; the north side of Lots 21 end 22, Block 4; the
north side of Lot 22, Block 3, Belmont Subdivision, all in Block
17, Five Acre Plat "A", Big Field Survey.

The north side of Lot 21, Block 3, Belmont Subdivision,
Block 17, Five Acre Plat "A", Big Field Survey, as the same
are shown upon the official plats of said City to a depth of
twenty-five (25) feet back from said street, end to collect
said tax.
SECTION 2. Said tax shell become end be deligquent in
ten equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum
unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the
time each Installment is due, to-wit: One-tenth thereof cne
year after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the
payment for such improvement becomes effective; one-tenth
thereof in two years after said ordinance becomes effective;
one-tenth thereof in three years after said ordinance becomes
effective; one-tenth thereof in four years after said ordi-
nance becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in five years efte.

in the order in which they are payable, or the whole special
tax, may be paid at any time within thirty days after the axst
ordinance confirming the levy of the tax becomes effective,
without interest. In the event of any installment, or the
interest aforesaid, not being paid on the date the same
becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at th
time said installment and interest are due, shall become due
and payable, and shall d#& : interest at the rate-00of eight per
cent per annum until the'eels of the property a4 ssefl pro-

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect one day
