AM ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 20-31-8 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to
permit fee for sound devices.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 20-3f--8 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to permit
fee for sound devices, be, and the same hereby is, amended
as follows:
"Sec. 20-31-8. Fees. Each applicant for a
permit issued under the provisions of this section
shall pay a fee of $25.00 for the use of each sound
device or apparatus for each day; provided, however,
that permits for the use of such sound devices or
apparatus shall be issued to any bureau, commission
board or department of the United States govern-
ment, the State of Utah, the City of Salt Lake,
religious, eleemosynary, or charitable groups,
without fee."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners
it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the
inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become
effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Sal. take City,
Utah, this 11th day of December, 1974.
