An ordinance levying,a,tax and for the assessment of property • within the following desibed limits: Beginning at the center of Seventh Bast and NinthSouth Streets, thence south along the center line of Seventh East Street to the center of Belmont Avenue, thence east along the center line of Belmont Avenue to the center of Eighth East Street, thenoe south along the center line of Eighth East Street to the center of Herbert Avenue, thence east along the center line o jlHerbert Avenue to the center of Windsor Street, thence south along the center line of Windsor Street to a point 172.26 feet south of the south side of Herbert Avenue, thence east to the center of Ninth East Street, thence south along the center line of Ninth East Street to a point 254.1 feet south of the south side of Herbert Avenue, thence east to the center of Tenth East Street, thence north along the oenter line of Tenth East Street to the center of Ninth South Street, thence west along the center line of Ninth South Street to the center line II of Seventh East Street, the place of beginning, in Sewer District No. 1, for the construction of sewers. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and ',provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District No. 1, for the construction of sewers, to-wit: In Lots 12 and 16, Block 18; 1,to 10, inclusive, Block 1, North Windsor Subdivision, Block 18; 1 to 18, inclusive, Block 1, Windsor Subdivision, Block 18; 1 to 18, inclusive, Miller & Miller Subdivision, ! Block 18; 1 to 20, inclusive, "lock 2, and 1 to 20, inclusive, Block 1, South Belmont Subdivision, Block 17; 1 to 40, inclusive, Block 2, 1 to 40, inahtsive, Bic,^_ti 1, -- to 40, _ rLne, L7 ex�d 1 to 40, Block 4, Belmont Subdivision, Block 17, all in Five Acre Flat "A", Big Field Survey, abutting on the east side of Windsor Street between Ninth South Street and Princeton Avenue, on both sides of Uinth East Street between Ninth South Street and Princeton Avenue, on both e �`�s f -2- of Lincoln Street between Ninth South Street and Princeton Avenue, and on the west side of Tenth East Street between Ninth South Street and Princeton Avenue. This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing vitri- fied pipe se.,-ere eiht (8) , ton (10) and twelve (12) inches in diameter upon the portions of said streets opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is six thousand six hundred seventy and 87/100 (36,670.87) dollars, or 876777/1,000,000 (00.876777) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for sewer in center of street, there being 7608.40 feet of abutting property within the boundaries of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned, which is the total cost and cost per front foot of said sewers according to the contract entered into for the performanoe of said work and making said improvement, with V. P. Strange, dated the 12th day of October, 1908, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess in accordance with the pro- visions of this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned: Sewer in Qenter 2Z atreet. The west side of the east 330 feet of Lot 12, the east side of Lot 12, Block 18; the east side of Lots 1, and 7 to 10, inclusive, and the west side of Lots 2 to 6, inclusive, Block 1, North Windsor Subdivision, Block 18; the west side of Lots 2 to in, inclusive, the east side of tx$ Lots 1, and 11 to 18, inclusive, Block 1, Windsor Subdivision, Block 18; the east side of Lots 1 to 9, inclusive,,,,,and the west side of Lots 10 to 18, inclusive, Miller & Miller Subdi4f0i.n, -3- Block 18; the north 172.26 feet of the west side of the east 330 fee, of Lot 16, and the north 172.18 feet of the east side of Lot 16, Block 18; the west side of Lots 2 to 11, inclusive, and the east side of Lots 1, and 12 to 20, inclusive, Block 2, the west side of Lots 2 to 11, inclusive, and the east side of Lots 1, and 12 to 20, inclusive, Block 1, South Belmont Subdivision, Block 17; the west side of Lots 2 to 21, inclusive, and the east side of Lots 1, and 22 to 40, in- clusive, Block 2, the west side of Lots 2 to 21, inclusive, and the east side of Lots 1, and 22 to 40, inclusive, Block 1, the west side of Lots 2 to 21, inclusive, and the east side of Lots 1, and 22 to 40, inclusive, Block 3, the west side of Lots 2 to 21, inclusive, an the east side of Lotsrl; and 22 to 40, inclusive, Block 4, Belmont Subdivision, Block 17, all in Five Acre Plat "A", Big Field Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats of Salt Lake City to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said streets, and to collect said tax. SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five era.' installments, as follows, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one year after the approval of the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such improvement; one-fifth thereof in two years after such approval; one-fifth thereof in three years after such approval; one-fifth thereof in four years after such approval; and one-fifth thereof in five years after such approval. One or more of said in- stallments, or the whole tax may be paid on or before ton days after the approval of the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax. One or more installments, or the whole special tax may be paid on the day Many installment becomes due by paying the amount thereof and interest to date of payment. Each of said installments shall bear interest at the rate of six (6) per cent per annum from the date of the approval of the ordinance confirming the levy of' said tax until date of delin-1 quency, and eight (8) per cent per annum from delin:;uency until,pa, d. r'• it -4- I SECTION 3.
