AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Sec. 51-3-4, of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, relating to zoning.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1 . That Sec. 51-3-4, of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1955, relating to zoning, be, and the
same hereby is, amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 51-3-4. Violation and penalty. Any person,
firm or corporation, whether acting as owner or
occupier of the premises involved, or contractor, or
otherwise, who violates or refuses to comply with
any of the provisions of this ordinance, Title 51 ,
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake.City, Utah, 1955,
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction,
shall be punished by a fine in any sum not exceeding
$299.00, or by imprisonment In the city jail for a
period not longer than six (6) months, or by both such
fine and imprisonment. In imposing the fine, the court
may, in default of the payment of the fine, enter as
part of the judgment that the violator may be imprisoned
in the city jail for a period of not exceeding six (6)
months. Each day a violation is permitted to exist
shall constitute a separate offense."
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 21st day of February 1962.
