HomeMy WebLinkAbout15 of 1981 - Vacating a 16 foot alley at approximately 2782 South running east from 1300 East to Alden Street SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 15 of 1981 (Vacation of an Alley) AN ORDINANCE VACATING A 16 FOOT ALLEY AT APPROXIMATELY 2782 SOUTH WHICH RUNS EAST FROM 1300 EAST STREET TO ALDEN STREET. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the 16 foot alley located at approximately 2782 South which runs east at 2782 South from 1300 East Street to Alden Street in Salt Lake City, Utah, more particularly described below, be, and the same hereby is, vacated and declared no longer to be needed or available for use as a public street, avenue, alley, or pedestrian way. Commencing at the southeast corner of Lot 14, Block 4, Highland Park Subdivision, Plat C, a subdivision of the northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 28, Township 1 South, Range 1 East, thence running west 235.0 feet, more or less, to a point on the east line of 1300 East Street which point is 125 feet south of Claybourne Avenue; thence south along the east side of 1300 East Street 16.0 feet;thence east 235.0 feet, more or less, along the northern line of Lot 13 of said subdivision to the west line of Alden Street to a point being the northeast corner of lot 13 of said Block and Subdivision; thence running north 16.0 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. Said vacation is expressly made SUBJECT TO all existing rights of ways and easements of all public utilities of any and every description, now located on, in, under or over the confines of the above described property and, ALSO SUBJECT TO the rights of entry thereon for the purpose of obtaining, altering, repairing, replacing, removing, or rerouting said utilities and all of them. Said vacation is also SUBJECT TO any existing rights of way or easements of private third parties. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days after the date of its first publication.
