Sections 101 and 117 of Chapter VIII, Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, entitled "Buildings and Structures."
Be it; ordained by the City Council cf Salt Lake City, Utak:

theatre, church, hotel, school-hou ,e, or other public building

All theatres or oer public places of amusement having a

scenery, shall have a suitabl+.:15ritilator placed upon the rol 'f,�'g8 ,'
opening to the space above the stage. Such ventilator ehall be
arranged rith valv,is or zliutt,ers that can be readily opened in
case of fi •e, so th-3,t a current of air will pass over the stage
and outward -tlEcou-h said von tilator. Any o ther contrivance
having the siv effect; and approved by the Inspector of Build-
lops, may be used instead of the ventilator above d.ezcribe,d.
All such builoings shall bevea P,ter stand-pipe ad water
plug placed on the stage or platform, or in the i.,irraidiate
shall be connected with the city water mains, and

the Chief of the Find Department. Hose shall be attached. to

SECTION 117. P7ITAITY. Any person who, either as prinal7,

neglects or refines to comply with the provisiono of Ude chap-

cases of violation of Section 101 Of this chapter, as hereby
