within the following described district: Beginning at the Jordan
River end Tenth South Street; thence east along the north property
line of Tenth South Street to West Temple Street; thence north to
Ninth. South Street; thence east to Thirteenth East Street; thence
south to Tenth South Street; thence east to Fifteenth Fast Street;
thence south to Thirteenth South Street; thence west to Highland
Park Drive; thence northerly along the west property line of High-
land Park Drive to Denver & Rio Grande Railroad tracks, Park City
Branch; thence westerly along said traoks to Sixth East Street;
thenoe north to Twelfth South Street; thence west to Third East
Street; thenoe north to Eleventh South Street; thence west to Main
Street; thence north to Tenth South Street; thence west along the
south property line of Tenth South Street to the Jordan River; the
same being the boundary of the district to he improved, in Sewer

Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City
does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same

This ta:; is levied to defray the expense of constructing
vitrified and concrete pipe sewers upon the portions of said stree
opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be
especially affeoted and benefited by said improvement, and it is
hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property wil
be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax here
by levied, end said parcels of land are hereby assessed at en equa
and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon
said portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of
twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied an.
to be assessed upon said parcels of land is forty-seven thousand
six hundred forty-eight and 28/100 (047,648.28) dollars; forty-thrre
thousand eight hundred fifty-four and 84/100 (043,854.84) dollars,
or one and 245/1000 (01.245) dollars per front or linear foot of
abutting property for sewer in center of streets, there being
35224.77 feet abutting said portion of said improvement; and thirt -
seven hundred ninety-three and 44/100 ($3793.44) dollars, or one a.d
61/100 (01.61) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property
for sewer in center of streets, including house tonneotions to our•,
there being 2356.17 feet abutting said portion of said improvement
all within the boundaries of the lots, blocks and streets above
mentioned in said district, which is the total cost and cost per
front foot of said sewers, according to the contract entered into
for the performance of said work and making said improvement, with
Henry C. Ulen, dated the 16th day of September, 1914, end the
Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess, in accordance
with the provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein

SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five
equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum unpaid
at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the time each
installment is due, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one year after the
ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such

time said installment and interest are due, shall become due and
payable, and shell draw interest at the rate of eight per Dent per
annym until the sale of the property assessed; provided, one or
more installments, in the order in which they are payable, or the
whole special tax unpaid, may be paid on the day any installment
beoomes due, by paying the amount thereof and interest to said dat .
SECTION 3. This ordinance shell take effect one day after
its first publication.
