An ordinance emending Section 847 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to billiard, pool tables, etc.
Be it ordained by the Board of gommissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 847 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City of 1913, relating to billiard, pool tables, etc., be and
the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
SECTION 847. It shall be unlawful for any person to engage
in the business of keeping, or maintain for public use or hire,
any billiard table, pool table, or any pin or ball alley, or
nine-pin or ten-pin alley in or on which games are playo , with-
out first obtaining a license so to do; provided, that no
license shall issue to keep, maintain or operate for public use
or hire any of the games hereinbefore mentioned, without the
boundaties of the following distriots:
1. The south side of North Temple Street, the south side
of Fifth South Street, the east side of Second East Street, and
the west side of Sixth West Street.
2. In what is known as Sugar House bounded on the east by
Elizabeth Street, on the west by McClelland Street, and extending
for a distance of three hundred feet north and south of Twelfth
South Street between said streets.
