AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 51-12-2 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to rezoning and fixing
boundaries of use districts.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City has
determined that rezoning of certain property located at 1300 South
and State Street, occupied by the Lincoln School site, currently
zoned Residential "R-6" to a Residential "R-7" classification will
encourage compatible commercial use of said structure and shall be
in the best interest of the community, said board hereby adopts the
following amendments to the use district provisions of Title 51.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City, Utah,
SECTION 1. The use and the "Use District Map" as adopted by
Section 51-12-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah,
1965, as amended, relating to the fixing of boundaries of use
districts, be, and the same hereby is, amended as follows:
The the following described parcel of real property in the
Residential "R-6" District siutated on the north side of 1300 South
Street at State Street, in Salt Lake City, Utah, occupied by the
Lincoln School, more particularly described below, is hereby zoned
Residential "R-7" and "Use District Map" is amended and changed
accordingly.
Commencing at a point in the north line of 13th
South Street, said point being 150 feet east from
the northeast corner of 13th South and State Streets,
running thence East along the north line of 13th
South Street 206 feet, more or less, to the east
line of an existing building; thence North along the
edge of said building 278.65 feet; thence West 206
feet, more or less, to the east boundary of the
existing Commercial "C-3" District; thence South
278.65 feet to the point of beginning.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days
after the date of its first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 20th day of December , 1979.
