Result
An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of
property to Ninth South Street, between Eleventh East and Twelfth
East Streets, in Sewer District No. 1, for the construction of a
sewer.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the
sane upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District No. 1,
for the construction of a sewer, towit:
In Lots 30 to 55, inclusive, Block 15, Fremont Heights
Subdivision of Block 3, Plat "F", Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on
the north side of Ninth South Street, between Eleventh East and
Twelfth East Streets.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing
a vitrified pipe sewer ten (10) inches in diameter upon the portions
of said street opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter
described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement,
and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said proper
ty will be especially ,benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax
hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an
equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage
upon said portion of said street fronting upon and to a depth of
twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to
be assessed upon said parcels of land is Nine hundred eighty-three
and 41/100 ($983.41) dollars, or one and 468/1000 ( 1.468) dollars
per front or linear foot of abutting property, there being 669.90
of
feet/abutting property within the boundaries of the lots, blocks and
street above mentioned in said district, which is the total cost and
cost per front foot of said sewer, according to the contract entered
into for the performance of said work and making said improvement,
with P. J. Moran, dated the 14th day of May, 1913, and the Treasurer
is hereby authorized and directed to assess, in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned:

The south side of Lots 30 to 55, inclusive, Block 15,
Fremont Heights Subdivision, Block 3, Plat "F", Salt Lake City Survey,
as the same are shown upon the official plats of said city to a depth

of twenth-fiveLfeet back from said street, and to collect said tax.
SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five
equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum unpaid at
the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the time each install-
ment is due, towit: One-fifth thereof one year after the ordinance
confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such improvement
becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in two years after said ordinance
becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in three years after said ordin-
ance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in four years after said

ordinance becomes effective;Lone-fifth thereof in five years after
of said
said ordinance becomes effective. One or more Linstallments, in the
order in which they are payable, or the whole special tax, may be paid
at any time within thirty days after the ordinance confirming the levy
of the tax becomes effective, without interest. In the event of any
installment or the interest aforesaid not being paid on the date the
same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the
time said installment and interest are due, shall become due and pay-
able, and shall draw interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum
until the sale of the property assessed; provided, one or more install-
ments, inthe order in which they are payable, or the whole special tax
unpaid, may be paid on the day any installment becomes due„ by paying
the amount thereof and interest to said date.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect one day after
its first publication.
