Result AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of
property in Lighting District No. 1-E, for the purpose of pro-
viding for the operation, maintenance and patrolling of arc lamps.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
take City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of
the same upon the property hereinafter described in Lighting Dis-
trict No. 1-E, for the purpose of providing for the operation,
maintenance and patrolling of arc lamps, to-wit:
In Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8 of Blk. 40, Lots 1 and 2 of
Silk. 51; Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8 of Blk. 56; Lots 5 and 6 of Elk.
57; Lots 5 to 8 incl. of Elk. 58; Lots 1, 2, 5 and 6 of Blk.
69; Lots l,to 8 incl. of Elk. 70; Lots 1, 2, 5 and 6 of Elk.
71; Lots 1 to 4 incl. of Elk. 74; Lots 1, 2, 5 and 6 of Elk.
75; Lots 1 to 8 incl. of Elk. 76; and Lots 1 to 4 incl. of
Blk. 88, Plat A, Salt Lake City Survey, and in part of Sec.
31, T. 1 N., R. 1 E., S. L. B. & Phi., abutting on the south
side of South Temple, Main to West Temple Streets, both sides.
of South Temple, Main to State, both sides of 1st and 2nd
South Streets, West Temple to 2nd East Streets and both sides
of 4th South, Main to West Temple Streets in Salt Lake City.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of providing
for the operation, maintenance and patrolling of arc lamps on the

all night schedule for a period of one year from April 25, 1925,
to April 25, 1926, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and estab-
lished that said property will be especially benefited thereby to
the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land
fare hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance
with the linear foot frontage upon and to the entire depth back
btherefrom and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said
liparcels of land is Five Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-three and
50/100 ( 5,323.50) Dollars or 491569/1000000 ( 0.491569) dollars

Blk. 88, all in Plat A, Salt Lake--City Survey, also commencing at
the southeast corner of Lot 1, Blk. 88, Plat "A", thence east 33
feet, being a part of Seo. 31,'T. 1 N., R. 1 E., S. L. B. & M.,
as the same are shown upon the official plats of said city to the
entire depth back from said streets, and to collect said tax.
SECTION 2. That the assessment list made by the city
treasgrer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of
Equalization and Review of the property described in Section I of
this ordinance in Lighting District No. 1-E of Salt Lake City, for
the purpose of providing for the operation, maintenance and'patrol-

(ling of arc lamps, is hereby confirmed, and the assessments made
land returned in said completed lists, and the report of the Board
of Equalization and -review to the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed.
SECTION 3. Said tax shall be due in one payment, Said
payment becomes delinquent and draws interest at the rate of
twelve per cent per annum if not paid within fifteen days.from the
time the ordinance levying the assessment becomes effective.
SECTION 4. 1'his ordinance e all take effect one day
