An ordinance levyin5 a tax and for the assessment of property on the west side of West Temple Street between First North and iSecond North Streets, on both sides of Second North Street between Main and Center Streets, once west side of rest Canyon Street from a point 272.7 feet south of Hillside Avenue to a point 1 135.27 feet north of Hillside Avenue, on both sides of Hillside Avenue between State and West Canyon Streets, on the west side of • Canyon Road from Second Avenue to a point 252.33 feet north of Fourth Avenue, and, on the east side of Canyon Road from Second Avenue to po nt 00feet io t1r of Canyon Road Subdivision, in Sidewalk Districts Nos. 20, 26, 27, 39 and 44, for the construc- tion of cement sidewalks. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby levy the tax end provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sidewalk Districts Noe. 20, 26, 27, 5C and 44, for the construction of cement side- walks, to-wit: In Lots 1 and 7, Block 104, Plat "A"; 3 and 4, Block 8; 1 and 2, Block 12, Plat "E"; 1, 2 and 3, Block 1; 1, 2, 3 and 14, Block 2, Flat "Y"; in part of Section 31, Township 1 north, Rance 1 east, Salt Lake Meridian; in Lots 4 and. 7, Block 3; 2 peed 3, Block 4, Plot "I", Salt Lake City Survey, abut'in5 on the west side of test Temple Street between First North and Second North Streets; on bot sides of Second. Norio Street between Main and Center Streets; on the west side of West Canyon Street from a point 272.7 feet south of Hillside Avenue to a point 135.27 feet north of Hillside Avenue; on both sides of i ill pile Avenue between State and 'Pont Canon Streets; on the west dice of Canyon goad :from Second Avenue to a point 252.33 feet north of Fourth Avenue; and on the east side of 160 Canyon Road from Second Avenue to e. point R00 feet nutLh of Canyon I Road Subdivision. SECTION 2. Said. tax shall become and be delingbant in five 1 . . . -4- equal yearly inctellmente, with interest on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the tine each installment to clue, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one year after the ordinance confirmicip the levy of the tax for the payment for such improvement becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in two years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth 'thereof in three years after said, ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in four years after said ordinance becomes effective; and one-fifth thereof in five years after said ordinance becomes effective. One , or more of said installments, in the order in which they are pay- able, or the whole special tax, may be paid at any time within thirty days after the ordinance confirmine the levy of the tax becomes effective, without interest. In the event of any install- ment or the interect aforesaid not being paid on the date the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the timr. sold instellment and interest are due, shall become due and payable, and shall drew interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum until the sale of the property asseseed; provided, one or more in- stellmente, in the order in which they ere payable, or the whole special tax unpaid, may be peid on the day any inctellment becomes duo, by pnyin2; the amount thereof and interact to said date.
