In ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
within the following described district: Beginning at the Jordan
River and Tenth South Street; thence east along the north property
line of Tenth South Street to West Temple Street; thence north to
Ninth South Street; thence east to Thirteenth East Street; thence
south to Tenth South Street; thence east to Fifteenth East Street;
thence south to Thirteenth South Street; thenoe west to Highland
Park Drive: thence northerly along the west property line of High-
land Park Drive to Denver & Rio Grande Railroad tracks, Park City
Branch; thence westerly along said tracks to Sixth East Street;
thenoe north to Twelfth South Street; thence west to Third East
Street; thence north to Eleventh South Street; thence west to Main
Street; thence north to Tenth South Street; thence west along the
south property line of Tenth South Street to the Jordan River; the
same being the boundary of the district to be improved, in Sewer
Districts Nos. 1 and 2, for the construction of sewers.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City
does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same
upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer Districts Nos. 1
and 2, for the construction of sewers, to-wit:

Park Plat "A" Subdivision, Block 46; 1353 to 1385, inclusive, and
1394 to 1459, inclusive, Highland Park Plat "A" Subdivision, Block
47; and in part of Highland Park Plat "A" Subdivision, Block 47,
all in Ten Acre Plat "A", and all in Big Field Survey, abutting on
the east side of Third East Street between Coateville Avenue and
Twelfth South Street; on both sides of Downington Avenue between
Third East and Fourth East Streets; on both sides of Garfield Ave-
nue between Third East and Fourth East Streets; on both sides of
Ramona Avenue between Third East and Fourth Eastt Streets; on both
sides of Hollywood Avenue between Third East and Fourth East
Streets; on both sides of Redondo Avenue between Third East and
Fourth East Streets; on both sides of Malvern Avenue between High-
land Park Drive and Thirteenth East Street; on both sides of
Crystal Avenue between Highland Park Drive and Thirteenth East
Street; on both sides of Thirteenth East Street between Stratford
Avenue and Thirteenth South Street; and on both sides of Alden
Street between Stratford Avenue and Thirteenth South Street.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing
vitrified and concrete pipe sewers upon the portions of said streets
opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be
especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is
hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property wil
be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax here
by levied,and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal
and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon
said portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of
twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied an.

to be assessed upon said parcels of lend is fifteen thousand seven
hundred ninety-one and 80/100 ($15,791.80) dollars, or one and
245/1000 ($1.245) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting
property for sewer in center of streets, there being 12684.17 feet
abutting said portion of said improvement within the boundaries of
the lots, blooks and streets above mentioned in said district,
which is the total cost and cost per front foot of said sewers,
according to the contract entered into for the performance of said
work and making said improvement, with Henry C. Ulen, dated the
16th day of September, 1914, and the Treasurer is hereby authorize.

five (25) feet back from said streets, and to collect said tax.
SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five
equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum unpaid
at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the time each
installment is due, towwit: One-fifth thereof one year after the

ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such
improvement becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in two years
after said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in three
years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in
four years after said ordinance beoomes effective; and one-fifth
thereof in five years after said ordinance becomes effective. One
or more of said installments, in the order in which they are pay-
able, or the whole special tag, may be paid at any time within
thirty days after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax
becomes effective, without interest. In the event of any install-
ment, or the interest aforesaid not being paid on the day the same
becomes due, the whole amount of the speoial tax unpaid at the
time said installment and interest are due, shall become due and
payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of eight per cent per
annum until the sale of the property assessed; provided, one or
more installments, in the order in which they are payable, or the
whole special tax unpaid, may be paid on the day any installment
becomes due, by paying the amount thereof and interest to said date.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect one day after
its first publication.
