AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of property
on the north side of Twenty-first South street between the end of present
pavement 295 feet east of Eleventh East street and Thirteenth East street
in Paving Districts Nos. 31 and 32 (Paving6xtension No. 144) for the
purpose of providing for the grading, curbing and guttering, constructing
private driveways, constructing irrigation system, oon.itructing drainage
system to carry water acro sc and along streets and inters ec ti one, install-
. ing water services and sewer connections to back of curb and to pave
with bituminous concrete.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,Ut
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City
_ does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon
the property hereinafter described in Paving Districts Nos. ai and 32
(Paving Extension No. 144), for the purpose of providing for the grading,
curbing and guttering, constructing private driveways, constructing ir-
rigation system, constructing drainage system to carry water across and
along streets and intersections, installing water services and sewer
connections to back of curb and to pave with bituminous concrete, to-wit:
In Lots 1 to 7 incl. of i31k. 2, 'di.e.i City Sub. and Lots 1 to 13
incl.of Blk. 3, View City Sub. of .31k. 1-A and Lots 1 & 2 of Blk. 1-A, Five
Acre flat A, Salt Lake City Survey, aoutting; on the north sidle of Twenty-
first south St. between the end of present pavement 295 ft. east of .L'leventh

This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, ,
curbing and guttering, cetstructing private driveways, con-

to pave with bituminous concrete (said pavement to be 42 feet
between curbs on Twenty-first South street between 295 feet
last of Eleventh East street and Thirteenth Last street, inolud
ng 18 foot strip to be paved by the State of Utah and County of
Salt Lake (single track) all pavement to be six (6) inches thick,
With four (4) inch crushed rock base and two (2) inch wearing

Apposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to
be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it
ns hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property

Will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the
tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed •
,t an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot

(50) feet back therefrom, and the tax is hereby levied and to

SECTION II. Said tax shall become and be delinquent

aforesaid not being paid on the date the same becomes due, the
whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said in-
stallment and interest are due, shall become due and payable,
and shall draw interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum
until the sale of the property assessed; provided, one or more
installments, in the order in which they are payable, or the
twhole special tax unpaid may be paid on the day any installment
jib 4cues due, by paying the amount thereof and interest to said
date.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect one
day after its first publication.
