AN ORIZ NANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of
property on Sixth South St. llth to 12th West Streets, Arapahoe
Avenue, llth West to Concord Street, llth West Street, 6th to
7th South Streets, Concord Street, 6th South to Arapahoe Avenue,
12th West Street, 6th South to Arapahoe Avenue, in Sewer Distriot
No. 2,(Sewer Extension No. 377,)for the purpose of constructing
a sewer.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt
*Lake City, does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment
of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer
District No. 2, (Sewer Extension No. 377), for the purpose of
constructing a sewer, to-adt:
In Lets 159 to 170 inal. and 190 to 200 incl., Lots
1 to 16 inol., Lots 17 to 32 incl. , Lots 33 to 48 incl. , Lots
49 to 64 inol., Lots 65 to 80 incl., Lots 81 to 96 inel. ,Lots
32, 33, 48, 17, 49, and 80 of Peplar Place Sub., being a part of
Sees. 2 & 3 of T 1 S. R 1 W., S.L.B.M; Lots 32 to 40 incl., Lots
1 and 40 of Blk. 16, Poplar Grove Add., being a part of See. 11,
T 1 8. R 1 W. S.L.B.& M. , and commencing 66' east and 1056''
north from the S.E.o orner of Lot 1, Blk. 1, Poplar Grove
Add., thence north 264', being a part of the N.W.4 of the N.W.I

abutting on both sides of 6th South St. llth to 12th West
Streets, Arapahoe Avenue, 11th West to Concord Street, llth Wee,

This lax is levied to defray the expense of can-
struoting a vitrified and oonorete pipe from eight (8) inohes
in diameter to twenty-one (21) inches in diameter, upon the per

provoment and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established
that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the
full amount of the tax hereby levied and said parcels of land
are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance
with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said street
fronting upon and to the entire depth of said paroels of land
back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed
upon said parcels of land. is Seventeen Thousand Eight Hundred
Sixty»three and 69/100 (017,863.69) dollars or Pour and 49/100
(04.49) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property
for half rate without owrb connections, there being 3978.58 fee
abutting said improvement, which is the total coat and cost
per front foot of said sewers acoording to the contract entereb
into for the performance of said work and raking said improveme t
with. R. E. Campbell, dated. the llth day of October, 1920, and
the Treasurer is hereby authorised and directed to assess in
accordance with the provisions of this ordinance for the pur-
poses herein mentioned:

upon the official plata of said city to the entire depth of
said parcels of land and to collect said tax.
SECTION II. Said tax shall beams and be delinquent
in five equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole
sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at
the time each installment is due, to wit: One-fifth thereof
one year after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax
for the payment for such improvement beoomes effective; one-
fifth thereof in two years after said ordinance becomes effective;
one-fifth thereof in three years after said ordinance becomes e -
feotive; one-fifth thereof in four years after said ordinance j
becomes effective; and one-fifth thereof in five years after
said ordinance bee cues effective. One or more of said install-
ments, in the order in which they are payable, or the oh ole
special tax, may be paid at any time within ten (10) days after '
the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax bee uses effective,
without interest. In the event of any installment or the inter-
est aforesaid not being paid on the day the same bee ones due,

the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said
installment and interest are due, shall bec®e due and payable,
and shall draw interest at the rate of eight par cent per annum
until the sale of the property assessed; provided, one or more
installments, in the order in which they are payable, or the
whole special tax unpaid, may be paid on the day any installmen
becomes due, by paying the amount thereof and interest to said
date.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect one
day after its first publication.
