AN ORDINANCE VACATING ALLEY 125 feet-of of 14th East

Street, running 143 feet north from Bryan Avenue.
' Be it ordained by the BoarA of Commissioners of Salt Lake

I ' SECTION 1. That alley 125 feet east of 14th East Street
7+i z running 143 feet north front Bryan Avenue, more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 20, Blk. 3,
Emerson Heights Addition of Blk. 11, Five Acre Plat ?+Cn,
and Blk. 11 of F. M. Lyman Jr. ts Survey of Sec. 16, T. 1
S., R. 1 E., S. L. B. & Ill., thence north 143 ft., thence
east 37 ft., thence S. 45° W. 35.35 ft., thence south
118 ft., thence west 12 ft. to the place of beginning.
be and the same is hereby vacated and declared no longer to be pub-
lic property for use as a street, avenue, alley or pedestrian way.
Said vacation is made expressly subject to the rights of
way and easements of the Utah Light & Traction Company and the Moun-
tain States Telephone & Telegraph Company acquired under franchises
17 from Salt Lake City, to maintain, repair, alter and replace the elec-
tric transmission, distribution of telegraph and telephone circuits,
lines, wires and poles of said companies, together with the necessary
stop cross-arms and other attachments thereon or affixed thereto for
the support of said electric, telephone and telegraph lines, wires
and distribution circuits as now erected and maintained upon or across
"the portion of said street to be closed, during the life of the fran-
chises held by said companies, or any extensions thereof.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it
is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of
Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
