AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Chapter 5 of Title 25 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to Pay Differentials
for Refuse Collectors II, by ADDING a new Section 4A thereto.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 5 of Title 25 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965,-,telating to Pay Differentials for
Refuse Collectors II, be, and the same hereby is, amended by ADDING
thereto a new Section 4A to read as follows:
Sec. 25-5-4A. Refuse Collector Differentials. Full-time,
permanent employees classified as Refuse Collectors II and
assigned to duty in the Department of Public Works, shall receive
a pay differential equal to five percent (5%) of their regular
monthly salaries during the period from January 15, 1979, to
April 15, 1979. Such pay differential shall be specified sepa-
rate from regular earnings on each employee's semi-monthly wage
statement.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the
inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 25th day of January , 1979
