Wells Mr.Chairman -Ya ---- AN ORDINANCE Result An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property within the following described district: Beginning at the Jordan River and Tenth South Street; thence east along the north property line of Tenth South Street to West Temple Street; thence north to Ninth South Street; thence east to Thirteenth East Street; thence south to Tenth South Street; thence east to Fifteenth East Street; Highland thence south to Thirteenth South Street; thence west to RigkUa Park Drive; thence northerly along the west property line of High- land Park Drive to Denver & Rio Grande Railroad tracks, Park City Branch; thence westerly along said tracks to Sixth East Street; thence north to Twelfth South Street; thence west to Third East Street; thence north to Eleventh South Street; thence west to Main Street; thence north to Tenth South Street; thence west along the south property line of Tenth South Street to the Jordan River; the same being the boundary of the district to be improved, in Sewer Districts Nos. 1 and 2, for the construction of sewers. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer Districts Nos. 1 and 2, for the construction of sewers, to-wit: -l- In Lots 1130, 300 to 325, inclusive, 983 to 1096, inclusive, and 1611 to 1724, inclusive, Highland Park Plat "ATM Subdivision, Block 47, Ten Acre Plat "A", Big Field Survey, abutting on both sides of Parkway Avenue between Chadwick and Fifteenth East Street ; on both sides of Stratford Avenue between Chadwick and Fifteenth East. Streets; on both sides of Dearborn Street between Parkway Avenue and Thirteenth South Street; and on, the west side of Fiftee th East Street between Parkway Avenue and Thirteenth South Street. This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing vitrified and concrete pipe sewers upon the portions of said stree s opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property wil be espeoially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax here by levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an aqua and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (26) feet bank therefrom, and the tax hereby levied an to be asseesad upon said parcels of land is eighty-seven hundred fifty-eight and 86/100 ( 8758.86) dollars, or one and 245/1000 ($1.245) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for sewer in center of streets, there being 7035.23 feet abutting said portion of said improvement within the boundaries of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned in said district, which is the total cost and cost per front foot of said sewers, according to the contrast entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement, with Henry C. then, dated the 16th day of September, 1914, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess, in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned: Sewer In Center of Streets. (Half Rate) The south side of Lots 300 to 325, inclusive, the north side -2_ -3- ment, or the interest aforesaid not being paid on the day the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum until the sale of the property assessed; provided, one or more installments, in the order in which they are payable, or the whole special tax unpaid, may be paid on the day any installment becomes due, by paying the amount thereof and interest to said dat .
