AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 20-3-14 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended by Bill
No. 115 of 1976, relating to Utility Revenue Tax.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah.
SECTION 1. That Section 20-3-14 of the Revised Ordi-
nances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended by Bill No.
115 of 1976, relating-;to utility revenue tax, be, and the same
hereby is amended by changing the first paragraph thereof to
read as follows:
Sec. 20-3-14. Utility Revenue Tax. There is hereby
levied upon the business of every person or company
engaged in the business in Salt Lake City, Utah, of
supplying telephone, gas or electric energy service as
public utilities, an annual license tax equal to two
per centum of the gross revenue derived from the sale
and use of the services of said utilities within the
corporate limits of Salt Lake City.

SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners
it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabi-
tants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah, this 28th day of October, 1976.
