172 of 1910 - Ordinance 172 of 1910 – Sewer Extension No. 221, First & Final Estimate. AN ORDINANCE . An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property on lboth sides of Floral Avenue between Second South and Third South Streets, in Sewer District No. 1, for the construction of a sewer. Be it ordained by the City Council of Selt L ke City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax end provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District No. 1, for the construction of a sewer, to-wit: In Lot 6, Block 56, Plat "A", abutting on both sides of Floral Avenue between Second South and Third South Streets. This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing a vitri fied pipe sewer eight (8) inches in diameter upon the portions of said street opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter des- cribed to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said prop- erty will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said street fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and Ito be assessed upon said parcels of lend is three hundred eighty-one and 15/100 (6381.15) dollars, or 99/100 (4.99) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property, there being 385 feet of abutting property within the boundaries of the lot, block ann. street above mentioned in said district, which is the total cost and. cost per front foot of said sewer, according to the contract entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement, with Dole 1. Pitt, dated the 19th day of September, 1910, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess in accordance with the pro- visions of this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned: The east side of the west 66 feet of the south 200 feet of T,ot 6 the west side of the cast 81 feet of the south 185 feet or Lot 6, Block 56, flat "A", Salt Lake City Survey, es the same are shown poi -2- the official plats of said city to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said street, and to collect said tax. SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the time each installment is due, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one year after the approval of the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such im- provement; one-fifth thereofin two years after such rproval; one- fifth thereof in'three yearn after such apt'rov; 1; one-fifth thereof in four:years after such' aprroval; end on.e►fifth thereof in five year$ after such approval O,neor .more of said installments, in the order • in which they are payable, or the whole special tax may be paid at , any time within thirty days after the approval of the ordinance con- firming the levy of the tax, without interest.
