AN ORDINANCE

An Ordinancn is and confirming an Ordinance of Salt
Lake City Ontitled " An Ordinance granting permission to the Salt
Lake & Ogden Railway Company, a corporation, to construct and
operate, a steam and electric Railroad through Salt Lake City ",
approved the 7th day of September, 1905.
Be It Ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah that " An Ordinance granting permission to the Salt `
Lake & Ogden Railway Company, a corporation, to construct and
operate a steam and electric Railroad through Salt Lake City",
approved the 7th day of September, 1905, as amended by An Ordinance
dated July 29th 1909, approved July 30th 1909,be, and the same is
hereby amer{ded as hereinafter set out, and as so amended is hereby

SECTION 1
That Section 1 of the above named Ordinance be, and the same
is hereby amended so as to add to and include in the roads, streets
and alleys oovered by, and described in said Section 1 the follow-

roads, streets and alleys,\in Salt Lake City, Utah to-wit
j " Commencing on the South line of Ninth North Street, at a
point opposite Monroe Street1running thence Northwesterly across
I Ninth North Street and along Monroe Street; and across Hamilton and
Harrison Streets, at a point on said Streets in line with Monroe
Street; an,d across Fourth West Street and the Northwest Quarter of
Section 25, Township 1 North,Range 1 West;,,across the intersection
of Davis Street and Thirteenth North Street, at the Southeast corner
of Empire Addition, and running along Hot Springs Street through
Empire Addition and Maack Addition crossing Everet* Avenue,Fourteent
North Street, Duluth Avenue, and Fifteenth North Street and the alle s
between said several streets; also crossing Sixteenth North Street
where said Street$ lies between Blocks Seventeen (17) and Eighteen
(18) in Folsom Addition; also orossing the alleys in Block Seventeen
(17) in said addition;also crossing Bertella Avenue between Blocks
Sixteen (16) and Seventeen (17) in said Addition; also across and
along Chicago Avenue between Blocks Five (5) and Sixteen (16) in
said Addition; also across Seventeenth (17) North Street to Beok
Street; also along Beck Street from Seventeenth North Street to
a point Thirteen Hundred Twenty (1320) feet North of the South

line of Section Fourteen (14) Township One (1) North Range One
(1) West) crossing Trenton Avenue and Eighteenth North Street;
according to the lines in yellow and red shown on the blue print
hereto annexed and made a part of this franchise".
1:c }o 2. That said Grantee shall grade Hot Springs Avenue through
Maack Addition from property line to property line, also grade
the crossing at Fourteenth North and Everett' Avenue; grade the
orossing at Sixteenth North; grade the crossing at Bertella
Avenue; and grade Chicago Street from a point where the Balt Lake
and Ogden Railway Company enter,,-same from the South to connect
with grade on Beck Street between Seventeenth North Street and
Trenton"=A'enue, tG the satisfaction of the Street Supervisor.
SECTION
Thie franohibS,Shall extend until the expiration of the
franchise to;Whiott tt is an amendment, to-wit: until the first
day of ;uly 1956, :timS, the rights hereby granted shall be subject
to the gonditions bQ/the said ordinance to which it is an amend-
ment, the same as though the grants herein contained had been in-
serted and constituted a part of the said ordinance originally.
SECTION ho
eagThhat said grantee shall, within thirty (30) days-14the
li1 lkof the said ordinance, file its acceptance hereof in
writing, with the City Recorder of Salt Lake City, otherwise the
same shall be null and void.
